Capturing The North
I live, work, and play in the far northwoods of Minnesota, and my illustrative work is most often reflective of the land I love. My passion and connection with northern woodlands runs deep and has been an ever-present theme throughout the course of my life.
Red Canoe was born in the same northwoods where the inspiration for my illustrations are found. Ninety-percent or more of the clients I work for are conservation entities that work to protect our lakes, forests, and habitat.
Illustration That Supports Communication
Some artists feel burdened by the commercial side of art, but I like to view the variety of design aspects of my work as compartments of a greater whole. Beyond illustrator, I’m a designer/advertiser by trade. The services of illustration, photography, or videography, play a complementary role in what I do each day.
